Stripped from the bowels of my friends' Facebook posts and other insanity that comes out of my head

Shelter Dogs

I spent quite a few years volunteering for local rescues, and have a lot of friends who did, and still do.

This page is dedicated to the moronic reasons people give for abandoning their pets at shelters and rescues.  All of these reasons were given, I'm not making any up.

If you want a dog, it is a life-long commitment.

If you want a dog, go to a shelter or a rescue or a reputable, ethical breeder that has a return policy.

People think that shelter dogs have issues.

Most of the time the only "issue" they have was that their former owners were morons.
